Bausch + Lomb ULTRA ONE DAY Contact Lenses
A verified India guide to the ULTRA ONE DAY daily disposable lens, including material, single-use replacement and UV information.
What is ULTRA ONE DAY?
ULTRA ONE DAY is part of Bausch + Lomb's current India portfolio and is a single-use daily disposable contact lens. The India Instructions for Use identify it as a kalifilcon A UV-absorbing soft contact lens.
What does daily disposable mean?
A daily disposable lens is intended to be worn for the prescribed day and discarded after removal. It is not designed to be cleaned overnight and reused the next day. This makes daily disposables attractive to people who prefer a fresh lens each wearing day or who do not want a reusable-lens cleaning routine.
UV information
The India IFU identifies ULTRA ONE DAY as UV-absorbing. However, UV-absorbing contact lenses do not replace sunglasses or other protective UV eyewear because a contact lens does not cover the entire eye and surrounding area.
| Lens | ULTRA ONE DAY |
|---|---|
| Material | kalifilcon A |
| Replacement | Single-use daily disposable |
| UV characteristic | UV-absorbing; not a substitute for protective eyewear |
ULTRA ONE DAY vs ULTRA monthly
The key difference is replacement modality. ULTRA monthly is reusable within a prescribed 30-day cycle and requires the appropriate care routine after removal. ULTRA ONE DAY is discarded after removal. Your eye-care professional can help determine which modality suits your eyes and routine.
